[Question] Is a bralette a good choice if I still HATE the bras I was properly fitted for?

After reading through this subreddit, I got inspired and found a local shop that does proper bra fittings. I'm not sure if they did it right, though. The sales lady didn't measure me. She just eyeballed me for size and then brought me a bunch of bras to try on. I ended up buying four bras out of all the ones I tried on that felt the most comfortable.

Although, to be honest with myself (and you guys), "felt the most comfortable" really meant "irritated me the least". I've worn them on occasion since, and I have to admit I still hate them. I always thought that I wore a 38C. I checked the size tags on the new bras and couldn't read them all but one was size 40E and one was 38E.

So now I'm thinking of switching to bralettes. Should I go for the same size (40E) in a bralette?
