Bit of a complicated situation. I haven't had a bra fitting since falling pregnant with my first child in 2017. I did extended breastfeeding with both children and weaned my youngest a year ago after a BRCA2 diagnosis (they were unable to get proper images of my breast tissue while I was lactating). So I was either pregnant or nursing for six years, and I'm wearing ancient maternity bras that are basically a random size at this point.
At the end of this month I am having a reduction and uplift. This is preparatory to a prophylactic double mastectomy next year and is intended, basically, to rejig things so I can keep my own nipples.
I've been told I need post-surgical / mastectomy bras while I am recovering. But... not only do I not know my size now, I definitely don't know what my size will be after the reduction. I will be meeting with my breast surgeon a few days before the operation, and I will of course talk to her, but in our last consultation she seemed very unsure about bra sizes and suggested I go to Marks and Spencer.
Any advice?!
