Couple of ideas I have:

After college your daughter moved home (can also be on a break). You, her single parent, have missed her immensely. So you start the process of gradually regressing her to be your little girl, since you can't bear the idea of her moving out

Your daughter is involved in a serious accident. As a result of the accident, she has anxiety, a bit of confusion and starts to have accidents.I see this progressing as accidents, she has a bit of confusion, needing help and support. A once strong woman who was reliant is taken back to being very reliant on them.

An adult to go off to college soon is held back by over protective parents. A single parent doesn't want their baby to grow up. So over time they put her back into diapers and slowly regress her, making her their little baby girl again

My character is eighteen and been struggling. She is caught her in the morning in a diaper she wore to check out as an experiment.It is a very soaked diaper at that. To try for the first time.Daddy takes over and is immediately la baby in the house, they are new to town. No one knows her real age. Before work Daddy pickups baby supplies and takes her to work- carseat, paci, clothes with snaps, diapers.Keeps her in office with him, takes her to meetings, etc
