Utter glee: Awhile ago I had posted about having gone two month 24/7*. Half a year later I can confidently say that this has been an amazing experience so far. It has helped me tremendously, both on a purely well-being perspective, but also in making my daily life easier. I live in Europe (where public WC are a rare commodity, and the rare ones are rather insalubrious). Yet for the whole of 2021, unlike every year before, I have not had to plan around toilets. I can drink whatever I want, whenever I want. I no longer have to stop every hour to use the restroom!

I also love the logistics of it, choosing my diapers for the day, making sure to stay dry, carrying a few wet towels with me to change, and so on. I love the comfort around my things and private parts. I'm gleeful of how cosy and comfortable I feel.

Yes, it takes time everyday. But in over half a year, not once have I felt like it was a hassle, or work.

Accidents and control: From reading a lot of people's experience, I was also unsure if it would ... let's say ... create a propensity for accidents. And it both did, and didn't. Because I'm always* diapered, I started going ... well, anytime, really. I had worn here and there before, so I was already used to using them ("diaper trained"), but going 24/7 did mean just peeing "whenever". However this hasn't resulted at all in me being unable to hold. It has made the feeling of holding more pressing and worst, but not impossible...

...however I also have had several times where I peed accidentality, and regardless of what I'm wearing. I actually have had genuine accidents, and they are becoming more and more frequent, because: I commute on foot to and from work, and I'm generally more busy by the end of the day. So it can easily happen that I don't pee for the last 30min to 1h of work, and then rush straight home (and I obviously can't pee whilst walking). And the first thing I do getting home is obviously wash my hands vigorously in lukewarm water. But because it is also the first time in about an hour I'm still, I would usually pee vigorously at that moment too.

Flash-forward about 4 month of this every day of the week, without really minding or caring about it, and suddenly I was peeing down my legs doing the dishes (I had decided to air-out for a bit)...which is when I realised what happened. The next few days I tried not to pee when getting home and washing my hands, but I just realised that every time my hands get warm running water through them, I feel the urge to go, and unless I focus, will just go. And since the whole point of going 24/7 is for me to relax, I just gave-up, leaned into it and kept letting my body do its thing.

So although I can go without diapers just fine, I actually really need to focus if I need to wash something and don't want to go. It's not usually a problem, but it's smth I need to beware if I'm every unpadded.

Rashes and discomfort: the biggest worry I had, but nothing so far.

And that's about it for my awesome journey of awesomeness. I have a cute little diaper bag I sewed, a few different diapers I carry with me, some wipes, cotton to dry myself, barrier cream just in case and that's about all I need to go out in the wild of civilization and feel really safe and comfortable.
