Question about cloth backed tapes compared to plastic hook and loop

Hello! Long time lurker, first time poster. Just a couple things I wanted to ask. I noticed when having the abu preschools cloth backed on, they seem to get loose over time? Is that just the fabric loosening kind of thing? Or is it the tapes? It doesn’t seem like the tapes have moved and I can re adjust them and get them snugger but I was just wondering if I was doing something wrong?

I’ve only ever worn other Abdl plastic diapers with the hook and loop and once I have those snug and in place they never move.
