Thought I'd make this post having seen a post similar recently.. thought it was a good idea to highlight my mistakes and warn anyone from doing the same. Every day is a learning day!
I've had a few close calls over the years. Most of the time they've been my mum making a underhanded comment, like; "why are you walking like you've shit yourself?" (I have never messed around her nor would I, but she was referring to me waddling. Thick nappies do that 🤷♂️)
The other day though I had a very stupid lack of foresight. I had invited a few friends around, or rather, I invited a friend over who brought someone with him, who id not met before.
I had been padded in the morning and trying out my new bottle. I showered, got dressed etc in plenty of time before they arrived. I also washed up the bottle, but forgot that id left it on the side in the kitchen.
I only noticed this when they came into the kitchen, and quickly grabbed it and ran upstairs to put it away. Nothing was said, but it was so obvious I struggle to think how they couldn't of noticed it.
The worst incident I've ever had though happened the last time i was moving house. At the time I was keeping all of my things in a drawer under my bed. Due to short notice and lack of planning I was too busy rushing around packing up other stuff to even think about it. Then the removal men (we'd refer to them as "jack the lad" types here in the uk) trued to move my bed..
The drawers collapsed, causing a pile of abdl related items on the floor. Onesies, a frilly nappy cover, talc, wipes etc. Fortunstely I wasn't in the room when this happened but they called me in, I can only imagine the look of abject horror on my face when I saw that.
