So I ended up ordering two sets of the 3-pack from BareBum, one Medium (for the GF) and one Large for me. They ended up shipping out both packages as 'Direct Signature Required'. I e-mailed the company to ask about this but they stated that it was being done as a precaution to prevent theft. Their suggestion was to leave a note for FedEx.
I printed off the official FedEx signature release form, left it out there today, and noticed there was a delivery exception that "nobody was home." I called FedEx and they said that when a shipper uses 'Direct Signature Required' you cannot leave a note, and you can't even have it sent to a store to pick-up. Basically, someone at the address MUST sign for it before they will release it. What should have been done is to choose 'Indirect Signature Required' so notes work, and you can pick it up from a store.
This has been EXTREMELY frustrating that someone must be home to accept their package. It is diapers, not an antique collection of Fabergé Eggs that I am receiving.
Needless to say, not impressed so-far especially with the high shipping cost and high price of their diapers as it is. Hopefully i'll be home when FedEx comes tomorrow otherwise BareBum might be getting a shipment back that couldn't be delivered...
