Iām 24/7 Incont and wear a large variety of nappies depending on the situation Iām in or what Iām doing.
At my ābiggestā I wear either a medical nappy or a form pad with net pants, but when regressing Iāll wear ABDL nappies 24/7. As such, I frequent several online and brick and mortar retailers to keep my stash well stocked.
In the city I live in, there are 5 medical/mobility shops that I regularly visit to buy items from. Mainly because each store stock a different brand and have differing selections of accessories such as mobility clothing, wipes and plastic pants. I also will buy things like Drynites/Sudocrem/Bed Pads from supermarkets.
Iāve obviously established loyalty with many of these medical stores and as such a really good relationship with the people who work there. They are obviously 110% professional, but as theyāve gotten to know me over the past 6 years the curiosity as to why a 20-something year old is buying items like this gets the better of them.
What I find most interesting is how a couple of them have opened up about their own issues and have had really honest conversations about it.
One girl who works in the smaller of the shops is an ex drug user in her late 20s and admitted that she is medically incontinent from this drug use. What I found most curious was that she said that started using incontinence pads during the early use of the substance as they allowed her to continue taking it and became a crutch. She also said that 2 of her friends also wore them regularly as they too developed issues at the time.
Fast forward a few years and sheās having to wear NHS supplied pads full time and doesnāt really care as sheās clean of substance use and alive. She was incredibly open about it all and even said that everyone in her life knows about it and makes little effort to hide it. A pretty bold stance to take when wearing leggings and a polo shirt as work uniform - I noticed this at least 18 months ago, but respected her privacy.
In another shop, thereās a more elderly lady who works there and claims that she (anonymously) uses me as an example to other young people who have incontinence issues as to how suitable nappies can give you a normal life. I think itās more of a sales tactic, but itās nice to know that my approach to this is positive and may help others. I called in to the shop at 0915 this morning to collect some Tena Slips and she was telling me how sheās sold 20 packs to younger people since the start of December in lieu of less effective pullups.
Have you guys ever experienced curiosity like this whilst buying?
