AAAAAAAAND It's time for another installment of everyone's favorite thing(at least, I hope, maybe just a π€πΆ? Maybe?), "Leaker tries diapers and lets you know what they think of themβ’"! (I def need a new name.)
Trest Elite briefs have become a bit of a meme in the ABDL scene, what with their insane claims(not to mention their cost), but let's see if they live up to the hype!
Once again, ordered large.
Trest definitely markets these as an overnight incontinence aid(again, the bag and ads all say "briefs" instead of "diapers"). They do come in several colors(blue, black, pink, green, purple, and white). The colors are all subtle, except for the black(obvs).
Technical shtuff(which I am including from now on!) Dry weight - 8.8 oz(~250 g) After I used it, it was(minus my poopie which went down the hole π¦π) 3 lbs 5.9 oz(1528 g).
READ TO THE BOTTOM FOR A FUN STORY ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THEY ARE OVERWHELMED! π
What I like:
- Quieter than I expected. I wore these out shopping, and didn't notice a single swish, crinkle, peep, whatever out of them.
- they hold a LOT. The leak guards, again, are tall and stand up against the legs very well. I had 1 flood and several "dribble" "accidents"(heh heh π) and even after sitting in my car for a while, I had no leaks at all.
- they are very comfortable. Mind you, they are plastic-backed so will get hot during the summer, depending upon where you are.
- they contain odor a bit better than I expected. I still would NOT poop in these in public unless you absolutely cannot help it(eg, genuine accidents...bowel incontinence, IBS-C/D, etc). But I pooped before I went to bed that night, and they definitely didn't transmit as much "dirty" as the Rearz/InControl did.
What I didn't like...
- the thickness makes these more of an "overnight" diaper rather than an "active wear" diaper. I had to fight to keep myself from waddling, and thus giving myself away. I was rather self-conscious about it, and my shorts were a bit tight(you could see a bulge in the front of you REALLY looked).
- tapes are excellent, but once fastened, that's it. Went to re-adjust a tape, and it started ripping the landing zone. So make sure to tape properly from the word go.
- these are SAGGERS. As much as they hold, be prepared for these things to be mid-thigh by the time they're full.
- SPENDY. $44.99 a bag of 12(that's $3.75 a diaper!) with no option to buy a case.
TL;DR
WHOA: Very comfortable, relatively quiet, control odor a bit better than expected, tapes have gorilla grip, "Oops, I crapped my pants"-levels of capacity.
NO: Thickness works against them as an "out-and-about" diap, tapes will rip the back sheet if you aren't careful, really sagged when sogged, I'm sorry they cost HOW much?! AND I can't buy it by the case?!
NITTY-GRITTY: A really good, but very spendy, overnight diaper. Not so great for active wear. Pair with a cover.
OK, STORY TIME: The first day of my test, I wore them for 16 hours(1 pm Monday to wakey-wakey at 5:30 AM on Tuesday). I wet. A LOT. also, much much π©. I actually wet so much I leaked. Went to flush my π© when a seam at the leg guard ripped and dumped all of the diap's SAP directly into my toilet and on the floor. THANKFULLY the π© all landed in the bowl. But cleaning the Pee-soaked SAP out of the bowl and off of the floor was an experience I NEVER want to have again. Be careful with the length of wear and how much they are used! π
