Backstory: been with my GF for almost 4 months, so not that long but we've gotten very intimate and got to discussing kinks and stuff so I figured I'd rip the bandaid off and tell her.

At first it seemed fine, she told me it's normal but she didn't want anything to do with it which I also said was fine I just figured I'd tell her rather than keep it a secret. She asked a few questions but seems kinda estranged by it (again totally normal reaction)

But the next day she broke up with me over text, she told me it didn't have anything to do with the conversation from last night and whatever else but I still think it was weird timing. She had other reasons that I won't get into that she said we're the real reason and she feels bad that I trusted her enough to tell her something very private about me and swears that's not the reason, but I don't know it seems like it is the reason.

So cautionary tale for anyone who wants to tell their significant other, while the conversation we had seemed very mature and respectful it still didn't end well.
