Recently, I have started wearing diapers while going on "long" road trips (2-3 hours) for work and personal reasons. My diapers most of the time have leaked and I only realize this when I get out of the car. I'm not sure if it is because of how I tape the diaper and the fit isn't right, possibly the size too. Or if peeing in a sitting position causes the leaks.
I've worn a Rearz Lil Monsters and a Seni Super Plus; with the Rearz, I had to use it in traffic twice, but it later leaked in a public place much to my embarrassment when I had went a third time. It might have been because of my tape job. With the Seni Super Plus I figured that leak would potentially be an issue since its cloth-backed and not plastic-backed. Both times it leaked on me from the same leg cuff area, both times I was seated in my car; however, the first accident I had flooded unintentionally due to trying to drive and pee at the same time, and the second accident I tried to control how much I peed but it ended up still being an accident.
Unfortunately, I do tend to flood my diaper only because I never feel the urge to pee until I almost need to or I really need to. It's a little hard to know when to trickle some out when I never get the urge and it could be because of how my body is feeling the diaper and is aware of it more than bladder awareness. That's why I figure the amount I release is the problem but how I tape myself is still up for debate.
I thought about getting plastic pants for travel for if/when it happens again. But I rather figure out a consistent way to not leak that doesn't involve my lower half looking awkwardly big around others. Any advice would be most helpful!
