Sleeping positions for night wetting?

I’ve heard that sleeping diapered on your back helps with wetting at night, but I’ve been having a lot of trouble adjusting to it. I can’t fall asleep on my back and I also wake up with back pain sometimes. Would it be possible and easy to wet in my sleep sleeping on my side? And are there more risks with overflowing then?
Otherwise do you have any tips for how to transition to sleeping like that ? Thanks! J.
