I work production for a kids competition that travels all around the US and I bring my favorite stuffie with me. I usually set him up on my table. This has never been a problem. But today I’m chillin as we wait for some contestants to check in when this lady and her son approaches and she immediately picks up my stuffie and says “look brandon someone found your stitch doll” I immediately grabbed it back and said No mam thats actually mine, the lost and found is at registration. She said no this is my sons and he lost it earlier and shame on you a 30 something doesn’t need stuffed animals. To which I said No this is mine, I bought it for my son, I always bring him something when I have to leave for days for these events.
They walked away, but that bitch was determined to steal my precious Stitch doll. They came back with the big boss a little bit later, I saw them coming from all the way across the ballroom. They got to within ear-shot and he told the lady that that was mine and I bring it all the time. She started to have a meltdown and yelled no thats my sons and started to get belligerent. My boss ended up disqualifying the kid and security escorted them out. I feel really bad for the kid he looked so uncomfortable the entire time.
