I was elated when I read in the news that ABBA was releasing its very last album, I went to Amazon and put it on pre-order, then I waited for the first tracks to be released and they sounded great, I waited to read some reviews and realized that it was mostly old material that was never recorded, and not precisely good material. I decided not to purchase the CD. Somehow I am disappointed, I feel that Benny and Bjorn decided to bring back to life a collections of song that were never meant to be released, and composed two new songs to tart up the album and drum up some interest as they started the show in London. " I Still Have Faith In You" and "Don't Shut me Down" could have been released as singles, or they could have recorded their own versions of "Just Like That" and "Slowly"... and even "Heaven and Hell"... "Story Of A Heart", but no, instead they recorded a bunch of tripe, they served us sour and gamy leftovers while making big bucks.
What do you think ?
