I've been working for an in home based ABA company for about a year, this is my first position since certification. When I onboarded I explained that I would be more comfortable starting parttime (I wanted to stay on with a long term nanny family for another year), but that I have all day availability Monday, Wednesday, Friday, as well as some weekend availability. I thought that having 30 hours of availability was more than reasonable for parttime, given that the company likes to keep full timers at about 30 hours anyway.
The issue I'm having is that all open cases seem to either want their RBTs present 5 days a week, or they want after school hours (3-6) which means you can only really work one case at a time. Since joining the company I've only had one client that needed me about 6 hours a week.
Is this the industry norm, and just doesn't lend itself to multiple jobs or should I leave this company?
