Hi everyone. I am making a website for a friend who has an ABA business. One thing I would like to add is a couple of pictures of real clients. His current website uses stock photos that I don’t think fit his website/services well.
Would this be legal and ethical? I would ask for a typical media release/permission as used for school websites.
His practice is located in California.
I know my friend is very careful about even wanting the website to mention that they see patients with autism (and this is not even when mentioning a particular client, this is just in general and he said it’s for HIPPA reasons).
But on the other hand, I’ve looked at other clinic’s social media pages and they post pictures of their sessions with children and of students playing in a center/classroom, with the children’s faces clearly identifiable.
