AAWireless can't start Android Auto after updates

Yes, I've followed the steps in the troubleshooter and it just sends me in circles. Not sure what changed, but I got the new UI on my car (2018 Audi A4) and now I get a popup from AAWireless saying that it can't start Android Auto, and Android Auto is prompting me to plug the phone in.

The troubleshooter says to enable Wireless mode in the android auto app, but that option doesn't exist anymore after the latest update.

Passthrough is enabled Dongle Mode is disabled Start/Stop mode is enabled USB mode is Default

If anyone has some advice I'd love to hear it!
