After 6 years, I am considering stepping away for more pay
Post Body

Been with my agency for almost 6 years now. I absolutely love it. I love the people I work with and the units I have come to know. But I am married and with two young boys. I've been a supervisor in the radio room for 3 of the years I have been here.

However, the pay isn't getting any better and the promise of raises and "maybes" aren't paying the bills. I have an opportunity to make more money else where not in dispatching.

My conflict is that I love what I do, but it's just barely enough money to sustain my family and I don't know how much longer I can keep this up without any guaranteed pay increase. Should I stick with it and hope for the best or cut my loses and make money?
