Hey, everyone! Our center is in the very early stages of consolidating with all of the other PSAPs in the county to form a single consolidated center. I know Indiana and Utah are both moving this way statewide. Has anyone here ever been through a consolidation? What was good? What was bad?

Our center dispatches for the Sheriff's Office as well as four city police departments, two fire departments, and an ambulance company. We will join with 3 more city PDs, 2 large FDs, and about 6 smaller FDs that are mainly volunteer. The county has about 500,000 residents and is pretty geographically diverse.

I'd love to hear any thoughts anyone has.
