Keyboards and different dispatch centers?

Hi! A few of us in our center are looking to try and convince our Admin to allow our own key boards or to offer different styles issued to us and to keep track of.
If you centers do this can you advise the pros and cons? Also, recommendations for keyboards that work well for you on a 12 hr shift!
