A couple photos showing how close Dulles/Reagan Airport is to DC landmarks.
In one a USAir 757-200 departing and a TWA DC-9-80 taxiing to the same runway. (2000).
In the second, an American 757-200 making a turn to land at DC.
Posting as an example to those with questions about why American Flight 77, (Boeing 757-200; N644AA) didn’t standout like a sore thumb. Flight 77 actually took off from this Airport, and as eerie it is to reflect on, Passengers/Crew onboard AA77 likely saw the place their flight would ultimately end while taking off….
