So I know we're all here because we love classic hip-hop, but the sub can feel a bit slow sometimes, plus we're restricted to a very specific time period. And I think I can say that most of us know if we were to post someone like Jeru the Damaja on /r/hiphopheads it wouldn't generate much discussion or upvotes.
I really love 90s hip hop and I'd go as far to say that it's what made me fall in love with Hip Hop though I actually started listening to hip hop in the 2010s with Kendrick Lamar, but I came to this sub to discuss and share my love of it with others.
However I think as a sub, if the mods and majority agree, we could also post content made by artists who were at their peak in the 90s and are still putting good content out. For example Masta Ace and Marco Polo put out a great record at the end of 2018 called A Breukelen Story (Listen to it if you haven't!), yet Masta Ace has been spittin bars since the 90s and Marco still produces on an MPC2000XL.
I also thought we could have like weekly threads for different things to do with classic hip hop, so like verse of the week, beat of the week, maybe classic interviews, stuff along those lines.
If anyone has more suggestions or agrees please post and we can discuss!
