Hi, all. I was originally going to say I'd keep it short and sweet, but then I blathered on for way too long. :D 31/M/Silicon Valley, California. I work and play in tech and spend nearly all my time at a computer. Presently 245 lbs at 5'10", I'd like to be 225 lbs. by the end of the year, as part of a longer-term plan to wind up around 175 lbs. at some unspecified point in the more-distant future. I'll be mostly focusing on diet via portion control (still eat what I want, just less of it) and substitution (e.g. eating fruit when I might otherwise go to 7-Eleven and get a bunch of terrible packaged food). I may also increase my activity level slightly, using Wii Fit Plus. I'd also like to get a bicycle and ride to and from work five days a week (2.5 miles each way, pretty flat except for one freeway overpass). I did that last summer and got down to 232, but then the bike broke down and it's been out of commission ever since. Tried getting it fixed, but it wouldn't stay fixed, so I got rid of it and am now in the market for a replacement. That's about it... we'll see how it goes.
