Hear me out. Betty was on a rampage that morning and could not wait to march Brandon and Julia outside to scold them about the hot tub.

Once they got to the hot tub, she stopped for a second and pointed out the cover not being on correctly. Brandon said it must have been the wind (lol). She got shitty about that response and then mentioned the other thing that really made them (Ron and Betty) mad was that the water was cloudy.

So...Ron and Betty had obviously already been out there to inspect the hot tub before that confrontation. Is it too far of a reach to assume that actually:

BETTY AND RON DIDN'T PAY ATTENTION WHEN THEY CLOSED THE COVER AFTER THEIR RIDICULOUS WATER INVESTIGATION AND SHE THEN TOOK THAT OPPORTUNITY TO BLAME THEIR MISTAKE ON BRANDON AND JULIA ON TOP OF THE "CLOUDY WATER"?!
