Besides that, she’s a bitch. Makes smart and unnecessary remarks, obsessed with bringing her dog everywhere. She’s an embarrassment and it’s embarrassing even being with her.

And, probably worst of all, she’s American. He likely has friends of friends or has heard of others marrying Americans and having a comfortable life where work isn’t a priority.

So, In his mind, he’s not willing to deal with her unless he’s directly benefiting from it. She wouldn’t bring him to the US where he could work, so he expects her finance him.

Yohan probably gets crap from his family about being married to an American and not giving them money. I wouldn’t don’t he’s lost some credibility over it.

His angle is: I’m going to try to get money from her.
