So I was driving a long on a mini bike in the wastelands and hit a mine. So I raged quit for the night and went to bed.

When I went back to the spot where I died the blue icon for the backpack on my map says it's there but it's not I checked if the bag rolled down the small hill. Yet no luck.

I had this happen before were i died and it says my backpack is there in a city on another save but i never found it even when I dug out the area to see if the bag glitched underground.

So is this a glitch cause I quit the game after I spawned back at base?

Can I never retrieve that bag now?

Any tips or help will be Appreciated.

Btw this is on Ps4.
