I’ll be visiting a uni next month for a residential (3 days) and it is 6/7 hours away. I’ve never travelled alone before and I’m very bad with common sense - I get lost easily. Chances are I’ll be getting a flight there and back, but I have to get a train and two buses from the airport in order to get to the uni itself. I’m feeling very stressed as I don’t travel a lot, and I’ve never travelled alone before apart from to work and sixth form (I’m broke and haven’t needed to). So yeahhhh, does anyone have any advice for handling this? I’ll be staying in uni accommodation while there so no need to worry about hotels or anything. Visited the same uni for its open day this week and went with my Mum, I had no clue at all what was going on and would have been lost without her. The alternative option is that she comes with me and stays in a hotel nearby while I’m there but I feel bad about making her pay for that and I need to grow up/accept more responsibilities.
Any advice here is appreciated, how do I do this?
