RIKERS ISLAND…would that be too risky of a jail to put participants in?

I’m just trying to figure out how the show picks the jails for each season. I can’t find the connection. I have noticed some really big jails have never been picked. Is that cause it’s way to dangerous? Rikers island , or even LA county jail

Also , nobody ever talks about the process of how they pick these people . How many interviews do they go thru or auditions? How long after the the last interview or whatever goes by before they get picked ? I could never do that sht. Also…who do you guys think this season is gonna last the longest ? My moneys on the bigger white guy. Or maybe Fabian’s crazy self
