I'll start:
The poverty level was nothing like I expected. I spent a couple thousand dollars to get here so I could see some really dirt poor people, visit a temple or two, and be able to tell my friends back home how worldly I am now. To get out of the madness, I had to leave and went to Koh Phangan, where I met 300 other tourists, drank buckets of awesome, met 5 Burmese people, 3 Cambodians, and someone claiming they were Laos...it was only then that I really saw the real Thailand.
Part 1 of a four part series. Coming up next week: why is [•] the worst city ever?
