Lifelong reader but first time tracker 📚🤗💹 It’s super satisfying and looking at my book grid makes me happy 😊
Two goals I’m working on this year:
No DNFs: (I don’t have a problem with the concept of DNFing, life is short, read books you enjoy) however my DNFing was out of control and I haven’t been reading books that challenge me because as soon as I got bored I was moving on
Read from all the genres (except romance, can’t do it, won’t do it) my favorite books are all literary fiction or literary horror, yet my tendency when I can’t think of my next book is to grab the newest psych thriller. They’re entertaining and quick but, consistently, I read them and in a few months can’t even tell you what the twist was. That’s not something that happens when I read Truman Capote, Garcia Marquez, Barbara Kingsolver, authors that have made lifelong impressions on me. (I don’t forget the horror lit either. It’s something about pulp thrillers 🙃 Definitely interested in any thoughts you want to share concerning my books read or this rambling addendum
