When Your 4x4 is Your Camping Setup
Post Body

Hey all, 4wd camping post here.

We are looking to move from the ground tent setup to the rooftop tent and awning on the side of the 4wd. One of the issues we are thinking about is that this means when we leave the campsite to take the car on day trips, we are essentially leaving our campsite empty which puts us at risk of returning back to a group of campers in our spot.

Is this even an issue? For others whose camp set-up is attached to your 4wd, how do you handle this? Would leaving a couple of chairs and a 'please don't take our spot' sign be enough of a deterrent or do you have a solution that works? This would mainly be for Noosa North Shore, Bribie, Straddie and Moreton.
