Favorite all around use rig? Which vehicle do you think does "it all" the best? Road legal vehicles only and ideally not crazily modified in the drivetrain department.
Post Body

What vehicle do you think best represents your overall needs? What vehicle do you think best accomplishes all possible 4x4 needs? I'm taking everything into consideration here from cargo capacity to towing capability to breakover angles and reliability.

My vote for my personal best overall pick would be a gmt800 Yukon or XL 2500 with the 8.1L. The balance of towing capability, off road capability, number of seats, and cargo room make this vehicle ideal for my situation.

For best overall I would vote a Dodge 2500 with the 24v 5.9L Cummins ideally from 2006. It tows, has solid front axle, reliable enough (at least the drivetrain), and isn't that big where most 4x4 trails are off limits. For context it's 4 inches wider and about 3 feet longer than a 4runner if you get the double cab short bed (obviously king cab long bed will be longer).

I'm expecting XJ and Land Cruiser will be popular options.

I really like my 2nd gen Colorado. Its surprisingly good offroad, just needs a little lift to get over larger obstacles
