Replace the springs but keep the stock shocks?
Post Body

What if I replace the stock springs on my Montero / Pajero with better aftermarket ones but either retain the stock shocks or replace them with new OEM ones? I'm relatively new to 4x4s and I'm more interested in not having the rear drop too low when I load overlanding gear ( water, camping gear, etc.) in the back, rather than better performance for off-roading.

Comments

Just get a whole suspension new. Better to have springs and shocks matching! Full aftermarket for best compability .

And when you do it you can also lift it, if you only get springs, and then you want to lift it when you get new shocks you just pay double
