What to do about faulty 4k discs (brand new)?

Post Body

I just started collecting 4k blu rays and have been thrilled to watch them on my LG C3. However last night my copy of Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness froze and and locked up 4 separate times during the movie. I bought it brand new from Amazon, and it came factory sealed and all. Upon inspecting the disc I do see some micro scratches, but nothing major.

How common is this? I assume it's just a quality control issue, but this has kind of put me off from buying more 4k blu rays in the future. I assume I can't return it because it's already been opened, so that is money wasted.

So what do you guys do in this case? Try to return the disc anyway? And/or try to buy another copy and hope you don't encounter the same issue?
