So I got an open box 2019 65in Vizio PQ for just 700, and lo and behold It's got nearly an inch of vignetting in the corners (see link below). I was curious and opened up a support ticket with Vizio, and they're setting up to actually exchange the thing for a new 2020 PQ for no cost, which is a pretty solid offer.
Thing is once I take Vizio's offer I can't exchange it at BestBuy anymore, and if the new panel has more bad uniformity issues ill have to keep getting replacements or bother them enough into giving me a refund. Has anyone had chronic enough issues with Vizio panels that I should just bail on the thing and shell out for the Sony 900 everyone raves about?
EDIT/Resolution: Shoutout to u/IfErrNotEqualNil For pointing out the fact that this effect is present on literally every single FALD TV. After researching, it looks like this is just an effect of the circular backlights. Im just going to massage my budget a bit and look into the Vizio OLED or the LG one over the Sony X900. LMK if this plan sounds stupid
