I like to watch let's plays to decide before I buy a game, to see if I want it and learn how to play. For non-big name 4x games, you're lucky if you find one at all. I'm thinking games that get mentioned here a lot. Games from the last 5 or 10 years. Not interested in Civilization or its spinoffs (clones like Pandora are ok), and main series paradox games have a good stable of let's players I've watched.
What I think of for high quality, is the 'narrative let's plays' by OfficiallyDevin and Hearthguard. The caviar of let's plays, those are. Marbozir is also a favorite, he knows what he's doing and explains his choices.
