So long story short, my lady's daily is pretty much on life support, burns so much oil so she decided to get a new car for herself. For now, we're waiting until her daily just fully dies and then she'll use the 4R more.
Before she made the decision, we knew we needed something capable off road for the northeast terrain. So we considered the Bronco, Bronco Sport, Wrangler, Frontier, Crosstrek, and Outback. Right off the bat she didn't like the Frontier because it was a pick-up truck so she didn't want that, but what convinced her was the pricing of all the vehicles and plus she LOVED the 4Runner esp since we had a rental before and ofc the simplicity of the interior and reliability sold her. She didn't like the Bronco because it was too expensive and big. The Bronco Sport too expensive for being a glorified crossover. The Subies were top contenders, but we both hated the all-touch HVAC and infotainment on them. Wranglers she didn't like the form factor too much.
Honestly we are in love with our 5th gen ORP, she got everything she wanted the Softex seats, ride comfort, and sun roof which was a must for her.
well, i wanted a land cruiser. and still do, but that'll never happen. i had actually put a deposit down on the new Bronco, but backed out once it was known that it was gonna take so long and the prices went up and they had engine issues.
i went with a 2016 Tacoma TRD Off-Road and then went to a 4Runner lol. i liked the Tacoma, just always wanted a 4Runner
