Looking to connect with people who have experience with living and working on the road. Specifically or ideally… a small(ish) camper behind your 4R. Thus… seeking learning opportunities that center around a modest 4R setup with a camper.

I’ve lived out of a camper (that I hauled all over my state and neighboring states with my 4R, so well aware of the basics) during house renovations and extended vacations… but no more than 3-4 weeks at a time. On the cusp of serious camper shopping and starting to prep it for ft remote work. I definitely want to do this with my 4R so I can have some freedom to off-road wherever I go. I definitely don’t want a small RV/second vehicle to maintain. When it comes to vehicles I am not terribly handy and I really can’t turn a wrench… so to speak.

You know when you’ve done a lot of research on something and think you’ve got it sorted, then someone comes along with a different lens and says, “hey, did you consider x, y, z?” That’s why I’m here… not necessarily for the obvious things, but looking for that x, y, z.

Some of the areas I’d love to chat on are:

• Pros/cons of hauling and parking a camper so you can be free to go off-road
• Challenges and lessons learned or to learn when it comes to vehicle maintenance and towing for an extended period
• Camper considerations when it comes to 4R compatibility
• Special security concerns for my vehicle, camper, self (f), and 2 dogs
• Unexpected or surprising must-haves, be it gadgets and items, things for logistics, insurance or other coverages, or anything else that springs to mind
• Anything I haven’t listed that you’d jump to offer advice on
• Would you do it again? What would you do differently?
