4ack and Pinion failure?

I have a 2012 2WD with about 150k on it. Noticed on a recent oil change the boot of the rack on the driver side was wet and greasy on the bottom. I get a slight vibration/sound when turning at low speed. What can are there any other signs of failure I should look for with the rack?
If it does need to be replaced I know to stick with OEM.
