skincare helps but it's mostly genetics
Post Body

hi friends. i'm 45 and have only had a skincare routine for a couple of years. aside from occasional acne and ruddy complexion, my skin is great. almost no wrinkles. and i get a lot of compliments on how i look young for my age.

before i stopped dying my hair i was often mistaken for someone 10 years younger. my greys now give away my age.

i'm mentioning this in case you're feeling down about the current state of your skin, and/or you are blaming yourself for lack of skincare or whatever.

it's not something you did, or didn't do. it's genetics.

skincare definitely helps.

but if you see someone touting a product or routine and mentioning their age and how it's the one thing that keeps them wrinkle-free - beware. they're lying to you in order to sell something.

or they honestly believe it, and think their skin is a reflection of their worth or validation of their routine. but it's not. they'd prob look like that regardless.
