So i'm a big fan of the old tv sitcom M*A*S*H* and kinda a new fan of 40k. so i'm browsing 1d4chan one night reading about the all guardsmen party while a mash marathon is playing and think to myself "hey i got a great/terrible idea for a campaign" and its not like my typical play group are super serious role players anyway so why not.
i started basic plotting but i don't know much about the command structure of the imperial guard, and space marines so i have some questions. 1st when space marines get involved with a military campaign do they just take over command or do they just go fuck off and pick there own targets? 2nd if a space marine is injured is injured in open combat would they seek medical aid from a regular guardsmen medical station, or is the apothecary expected to do everything? 3rd are commissars allowed to Blam valuable specialist with the same disregard they kill lowly conscripts?
