The Blades of Ultramar: too mary sue or just enough rule of cool?
Post Body

Evening all,

Essentially I've built an army combining first born veterans with primaris troop, fast attack and heavy support. The theory behind the Blades, is that in order to pull together a crusading chapter quickly, various ultramarine successors donated veterans in order to give an experienced officer and elite core to a few hundred primaris troops. In essence think tanith first post vervunhive.

My worry is that it's all a little too "all the strengths, none of the weaknesses" builds I've seen before. I'm really fascinated by the relationship between first born and primaris marines and wanted to build an army that emphasises the ability of both to work together.

The Blades operate as Ultramars speartip: I loved X force as the shadowy spec ops of Cyclops's supposed enlightend leadership of the Xmen and wanted to build a 40k equivalent for the Ultramarines
