a question about dreadnoughts and hellbrutes.

I have quite a collection of dreadnoughts, and i noticed that hellbrutes seem to be a mutated version of a different style of dreadnought body. Is there any lore on that, or a non mutated version of that dreadnought chassis? It looks slightly simmilar to the curved plating of a leviathan but it is smaller.
The mutated/cursed word bearers contemptor still is recognisable as a contemptor for example.
