So I was listening to baldemorts reading of the pariah nexus and something the phaeron said got me thinking. The pariah nexus is supposed to block all warp energy (seems to apply to souls too) but doesn't seem to block faith in any meaning full way. This is about to be one run on sentence cause this phone is absolutely garbage. Anyways I was thinking faith is a result of the emperor not really ascending so much as slowing seeping into the very essence of humanity's souls through constant and concentrated warp fuel altering the very essence and nature of the human soul. It's kind of like the emperor's soul has become an oversoul of sorts for the entirety of humanity sending him into an almost hibernation like state. This would effectively mean that with enough faith in the emperor you could manifest what would seem like miracles, warp like manifestations, even say restoring and bolstering there fellows through literally the purity of their souls. It's also like a network where the dead go. Basically the emperor's soul was an amalgam of shaman souls and has now grow to encompass most human souls including the dead like the lost legion. His corpse sitting on the golden throne has essentially become a hardwired hyper powerful warp amplifier that fuels the astronomicon through those thousands of souls thrown in forcing them to pretty detonate like split atoms. I would type all the ramifications of that but I fucking hate this phone so much fml like this is a garbage write up.
