Questions about the Death Guard
Post Body

The DG and to a lesser extent Nurgle are some of my favorite characters in the setting but I feel like I don't know a lot about them.

  • The DG codex says that there are many diseases within the Plague Marines but other than Nurgle's Rot and the Destroyer Plague, what else is there?
  • When books such as Lords of Silence and the codex mention the resiliency of the Marines, what do they mean? If one of them gets shot in the arm by a bolter it would get shot off right? What makes the DG so tough without just saying "Nurgle's blessings"?
  • Are Plague Marines slower than their other brethren? I know that it would make sense considering what afflicts them but they are Astartes at the end of the day.
  • Do the Plague Marines spread diseases themselves on purpose? As in, do they weaponize it or is there just disease around them that accidentally spreads?
  • What books have the DG as a main role other than Lords of Silence? I finished that book and it was amazing but don't know where else to look.
  • Are there any books that have the DG sieging a place? I think it would be very cool to hear what they are like from an outsider's perspective. I know that in LoS a Blood Angel is disgusted by Vorx and Mortarion, I would love more of that.

Thanks for answering any of these. If you have any other tidbits or fun facts about them I'd love to hear/read more.
