I just had a thought. I could be wrong but I think Primaris Marines are made/trained straight into being a Primaris. I don’t have the new codex yet so haven’t read too much about it.

I also know that some regular marines can be made into Primaris types eventually. It takes time and effort but possible.

How do the scouts work in then for say a chapter that’s getting Primaris support/reinforcements? Would scouts look at the Primaris and think they would want to be remade into them?

Primaris only chapters may not have that kind of dilemma but what about those being rebuilt? I wonder because I am contemplating making my Primaris into Scythes of the Emperor. In Dark Imperium that chapter is specifically mentioned to be rebuilt but there are still Scythes around. Would a force of them have scouts running alongside the Primaris as well as the rare regular marines?
