Hello everyone. Hope everybody is having a nice day. Posting from mobile do not sure how to do the spoiler tag. My apologies.
I just finished The Warmaster, the most recent addition to the Gaunt’s Ghosts series and honestly I couldn’t be happier. This series really got me into 40k and I devoured the books like crazy. I think I got started when the first two omnibuses were out and the third was still a few books away.
I won’t spoil much here but I was amazed at the scale of things. Dan Abnett has always been good to write large scale events but in this one I feel that the characters are really escalating into a much larger scene. Before the Ghosts were more focused on their immediate theater but now I bet they will be factored into a much larger scale.
I really enjoyed the behind the scenes look as well as how so many facets of the Imperium interact with each other, especially all the political mess with a huge Crusade.
I’d love to see what are some parts that stuck out for some people and chat about the things that just made your jaw drop.
