I am dropped on a random imperial planet with nothing but the clothes that I am wearing. My goal is to get an audience with Guilliman.
It is possible for me to bullshit the local guard/governor to call a space marine escort? Can I convince an Ultramarine that I know their primarch and that I desperately need to speak with him?
"I was sent on a mission of the highest importance by Malcador the Sigillite, in a time before he was known as the hero. As a consequence of my faithful duties, I have become stranded on this planet and require an Astartes escort. Call me one from the nearest chapter."
With enough confidence do I have a chance or are there enough vetting processes that I am most likely going to be facing the bad end of a lasgun/bolter? Also, becoming a servitor is not on my to-do list.
Yeah honestly your best bet is touching base with a radical inquisitor of some kind and yapping your way up the chain. If you find someone sufficiently crazy you could in fact claim you're from the future sent back to avert some great evil (really no shortage of those). Inquisitors can go faaaaaar off the deep end because they're literally hand picked for being free thinkers. The more a smart kid at the Schola disgusts with their questions you the likelier they're gonna be just perfect, meaning they go for people even we'd consider way unhinged.
30 thousand years is enough for minor biological adaptations to take hold.
Meaning you'd die the moment you reached Terra die to being an unaugmented human on what is essentially a Death World due to pollution.

TBF the Speranza and its captain weren't exactly going about it with the adequate level of paranoia.
The 20k Federation was very much a Star Trek (DS9 era) style Thing from what we could gather meaning they assumed rationally speechifying your way to success was the default for how people dealt with things due to the enlightenment, prosperity and parity with other forces they enjoyed.
A user from here would still get brutally killed but maybe a few minutes later due to knowing that 40k humanity isn't all that patient or rational.
