I’m pretty new to the 40k lore and some of the lore I’ve heard so far about the emperor is that he is OP as hell until the Horus Heresy (where a big chunk of it is his fault) where he got fatally injured, is stuck on the golden throne as nothing more than a mummy, does NOT want to be worshipped as a god and that he would hate the Black Templars. I’ve also heard that the entire imperium just got cut in half with from a warp storm or something in some of the more recent lore, so how would the emperor deal with that?
That's the lie he tells himself. He couldn't even bring himself to kill Horus without significant convincing. Dude is far less edgy than he wants to believe.
See I was gonna say that but I feel that between Rogue Traders & Inquisitors having Xeno in their retinues, the various defense pacts with the Necrons & Eldar and the sheer shamelessness with which the AdMech treat tomb worlds like a damn library I feel like he'd be nowhere near satisfied with that aspect.
Hell. Jokaero Weapons are basically only a problem if it looks like you stole 'em because tHey'Re nOt SenTienT being the de-facto official cope line and all things considered I doubt he'd vibe with that either.

Well not EVERYTHING. They're pretty much as suspicious of psykers and AI as he intended so there's that.
