I have a rogue trader story I’ve been working on and one character in it is an Eldar who works as a member of the trader’s crew.
I originally thought of her as a member of the Striking Scorpians Aspect, specifically cause I wanted someone stealthy. I wanted a stealthy character specifically because I have other characters who fill other roles, the rogue trader himself is the leader, there’s a techpriest who’s the smart guy with a bunch of knowledge and technical expertise, an ork who’s the muscle etc. I thought of a stealthy character who round everything out. Basically I imagine her as the stealthy one, sneaking around to spy and gain intel, assassinate people, that sort of thing.
However a full blown aspect warrior wouldn’t work as they seem very tied to serving the interests of their Craftworlds rather than doing their own thing. However there are the rangers who are very much freelancers living on their own and are the Eldar most likely encountered by humans, especially in more peaceful contexts. Though eldar can go onto many paths over their lives so maybe she once was on the path of the Striking Scorpions but then moved to the Path of the Outcast, taking her skills in stealth with her.

Corsairs. You want Corsairs. This is very much covered by making her a Corsair.
[I was gonna write more here but it wound up going off-tangent].
Point being. 1) Make her a Corsair 2) Aspect Warriors aren't draftees.
